INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to the technology platform (“Platform”) created and maintained by IET Services India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The IET UK (“ISC”). This Policy describes why and how ISC and its Affiliates collect your personal information for the sole purpose of providing you, the User, access to the Platform and the Services provided by the Platform.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information that you provide by filling in registration forms on the Platform to avail the services of the Platform. This includes information provided when subscribing to our service or signing up for our Platform or requesting further information or services. We may also ask you for information when you have successfully signed up to an internship opportunity.
Specifically, personal details such as name, email address, location, country of residence, dates of internship, phone number, education details (university attended, major and expected graduation date), work experience (internships previously completed), CV, identification details, date of birth or any information input by you when using the Platform, completing our survey forms, or using our services. The Platform can be used only by persons above the age of 18 and proof of age will need to be provided.
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for your personal development and research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them. The provision of your name, email address, location information and country of residence is required from you to enable us to provide you with our services.

PURPOSE OF COLLECTION

We collect your personal Information and other data (account usage and technical information) for the following general purposes:

DISCLOSURES OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION

ISC may disclose your information collected via the Platform to third parties for the following purposes: (i) We share your personal data with a limited number of third party service providers whose services we use. These services may include identity verification, website hosting, data analytics, IT and infrastructure or email. The third party service providers may need access to your personal data to carry out their activities. However, we only allow these third party service providers to use your personal data to the extent necessary to provide the services availed via the Platform or as required by law. We also require these providers to contractually commit to protecting the personal data they process on our behalf. ; (ii) We share your personal data as required by law or in the interest of protecting or exercising ISC’s or others' legal rights, e.g., without limitation, in connection with requests from law enforcement officials and in connection with court proceedings; and (ii) we share your personal data with partners who specialize in data analytics, marketing and advertising, on an anonymized and de-identified basis such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify by the registered user.

COOKIES POLICY

The Platform uses third party scripts which may use cookies to collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit the website. This may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address, browser type, the pages of the website that you visit, etc. This data is used only to understand our website’s function internally. ISL uses any other information you provide only for the purpose for which it was collected, and to the extent necessary and is never sold or shared to third parties without your explicit consent. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to block the setting of all or some cookies. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies as soon as you visit the website.
